NUTRITION AND FEEDING PROGRAM FOR ROTARY YEAR 2013-2014

The Rotary Club of Vigan with partners namely the Ilocos Sur Medical Society, Philippine Pediatric Society, Unilever Philippines, RC Kamojima Japan conducted a nutrition and feeding program at Ayusan-Paoa, Bayubay, Busiing and Ilocos Sur National High School. The program started in August 2013 and will end in March 2014. A total of 164 pupils are being fed every school day at 9:15AM. Rotarians assigned delivers the freshly cooked food and milk to the schools and assist the teachers in feeding the kids.

As part of the their nutrition program, medical check ups were done and multivitamins are also given to the kids in a regular basis.

And at the launching of the program, teachers and parents were oriented on the proper preparation of food and diet by a dietician of the Metro Vigan Cooperative Hospital.
